Week 6 Life drawing and other adventures!
Michael Ollerton
It's the second week of the sentry gun project and i've spent most of the week refining my designs. Last week i showed most of my concept work, not that much to show yet just gotta keep working. Also this week is the beginning the media school launch, which my course (game art) is a part of. During this week lots of people were coming in and out and looking at our work.
I was asked to take part in a special life drawing class, where people would come in and out while we worked, places in this life drawing were very limited and it felt awesome to be asked to take part by the course. It really made me feel good about my progress as i was representing the course.
During the life drawing class we got to draw one of the third years who was wearing some of her cosplay, which was really cool as we don't normally work with clothed models so it made it harder to find the figure, and we got more interesting poses than usual.

I happy with what i was able to create in the time, i tried to focus on the face the most but i struggled with it in a few poses.
Another story that happened this week, which isn't really game art related but i think its quite interesting. My friends and i discovered that the local cinema was giving away a old transformer cardboard stand as they were finished with it and they didn't want to destroy it. We bought it off them and had the job of carrying a giant cardboard dinosaur through streets as well as carrying it up stairs and through small doors. it wasn't an easy task and we spent a whole saturday taking it apart and putting it back together.

Our kitchen has just became a lot more awesome, i wonder what the cleaners will think.
