Hey guys, I am now moving quickly onto my next character as time is quickly running out and we have lots to do. My next character is the Cheshire cat, for this character i am going to jump straight into zbrush, having spoken to some third year who are focusing on becoming character artist they have said that it is common for character artist to sculpt their character and then retopologise it down into a lowpoly model.

I am going to attempt the same using lewis's concept as reference this is what i was able to sculpt. I have only done the head for now due to the cat being very different to your normal character. our cat during the game will become a large bridge, and so we need the body to be made in separate sections like bread that will float around.

Here is an orthographic of my low poly cat, i put most of the geometry in the head as he its the main focus of the character. I am so far at the stage on unwrapping the cat and im trying to figure out how i should allocate the texture space, some sections of the cat are going to move and become the size of landscape pieces and some are not. so the landscape ones will obviously need the most texture space.

Only one study this week as i haven't had the time, Values and face you know the drill.
